Hitachi Aqua-Tech Engineering Pte. Ltd.

Hitachi Aqua-Tech Standardised RO Desalination Systems are high quality, reliable and energy efficient.

Overview

Hitachi Aqua-Tech sea water RO systems are available in different capacities to suit the requirements of our customers. These systems are designed to work efficiently and economically to produce high quality freshwater from seawater.

We fabricate containerized SWRO Systems. Our systems are built into brand new 20- and 40-foot containers that meet international quality standards.

We offer the latest energy saving reverse osmosis technology to ensure an economical supply of high quality potable water from seawater, especially in water-stressed countries.

Process Diagrams

In Sea Water RO systems, pressure is applied to the sea water, forcing fresh water through a semi-permeable membrane while most salts, bacteria, colloids and other impurities are rejected by the membrane.

Emergency RO Unit for Draught Affected Tuvalu Islands

Hitachi Aqua-Tech SWRO Plants for Drought Affected Tuvalu Islands

Hitachi Aqua-Tech successfully supplied 2 units of 10 m3/day RO Systems to the drought affected Tuvalu island of Funafuti. Affected by climate change, the country was declared a state of emergency by late September 2011 due to a serious drought.

Hitachi Aqua-Tech was engaged in an urgent call to build two units of 10m3/day RO systems and had them air freighted to Funafuti Airport in Tuvalu in early November 2011, with the help of New Zealand Army. The delivery only took 1 week, instead of the normal delivery time of around 50 days should the cargo go by sea.

The two RO systems are estimated to serve about 5,000 people living on the main island of Funafuti.
